The Clinical Risk Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and implementing the Clinical Risk Management Program at Good Samaritan Medical Center. The Clinical Risk Manager acts as a risk management subject matter expert, and consults with internal and external stakeholders on a wide array of initiatives. The Clinical Risk Manager focuses on risk reduction, patient safety, patient experience and loss prevention, and collaborates with colleagues in the Quality Assurance department with the goal of maintaining a high-quality, safe environment for patients and associates alike. The Clinical Risk Manager must be an effective communicator and posses strong presentation and interpersonal skills. The Clinical Risk Manager will collaborate with clinicians and administrators alike, so the ability to understand the complex relationship between root cause, clinical outcomes, risk management, and hospital performance is required. The Clinical Risk Manager must be highly skilled at working with various departments within a large medical center, and will manage initiatives from inception through implementation.
Bachelor's degree required.
Clinical background required.
Risk management, professional liability or loss control experience required.
Master's degree preferred.
Registered Nurse preferred.
CPHRM or ARM preferred.
3-5 years experience in risk management preferred.
