We are currently seeking a Cardiac Sonographer for our Bannockburn location. This is a full-time position and is benefits eligible. Hours will be scheduled Monday-Friday on the day shift (start times may vary 9:00am-5:30pm or 8:00am-4:30pm) with rotating weekends (every 4-5 weeks) and holidays. On call from 5pm-7:30am the following day for 1 week on Monday-Friday for Highland Park and Glenbrook once every 5-7 weeks. Must be able to travel to other Cardiac Imaging sites.
In this role, you will:
Obtain high quality, accurate ultrasound images and recordings of the velocities, anatomic and functional characteristics of the cardiovascular system and surrounding area for both pediatric and adult patients
Identify patient needs and intervene properly
Obtain continuing education to remain current in cardiac echocardiography
Our ideal candidate will have:
Associate's degree in Echocardiography, plus completion of 320 internship hours or 1 year of echo training required. Will need to take certification/registry exam within 2 years of employment.
2 years of clinical experience preferred
CPR certification required
Ability for frequent lifting, moving, pulling and positioning required. Must be able to assist with occasional heavy lifting of 100+ pounds.
