The Echo Technical Director performs the responsibilities of the Technical Director as required for ICAEL accredited labs. Serves as a technical and educational resource for the staff, and coordinates daily activities in the department. Responsible for performing echocardiograms to provide optimum care and customer service. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in The Methodist Mission, Vision and Values
• Certification/registry as an Echocardiographer by ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) in Adult or Pediatric Echo. • AND • A second certification/registry in sonography from the following: ARDMS Certification= RDCS (Adult, Pediatric), RDMS (fetal); CCI certification= RVS, RVT.
OPTION #2: • Certification/registry as an Echocardiographer by ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) in Adult or Pediatric Echo • AND • Bachelor’s degree (with major in health field preferred).
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • At least 5 year’s full-time clinical experience performing Echocardiography. • Analytical decision making skills necessary to quickly assess and resolve technical and patient care problems and issues. • Demonstrated leadership abilities. • Possession of a current AART registry as a radiologic technologist preferred. • Ability to understand and prepare complex written materials, such as patient records. • Ability to work without close supervision and to exercise independent judgement. • Ability to organize multiple tasks and projects and maintain control of workflow
