Senior Technologist - Medical Systems Engineering Reporting to the Manager of Healthcare Technology Management, the Senior Tech. performs evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance on devices used in the care and treatment of patients at TVH. The candidate will work independently with minimal supervision; supervises staff and manages projects. The Senior Tech. participates on ECO Committee; Focuses performance to ensure the safest and best possible patient experience. Delivers exceptional service to all customers. Delivers service that meets or exceeds all regulatory requirements and compliance. Assists TVH HTM leadership with developing and strengthening facility and vendor relationships. Meets all established key performance indicator (KPI) requirements.
Essential Job Duties: Documents and maintains records of all work activities in the computerized maintenance management software. Routinely manages the corrective and preventive maintenance of devices as assigned and all related follow-up communications. Travels to other sites as directed/needed. Understands and complies with all regulatory requirements. Pulls and terminates cabling including fiber optic cabling. Follows all established corporate and local policies and procedures pertinent to the position held. Participates in and/or facilitates in-service education to device users. Provides cross-training/education to other HTM team members. Coordinates the ordering of replacement parts and/or service on devices. Ensures replacement parts/services are delivered and ensures accuracy of invoicing. Ensures all exchange parts ordered by the MST are returned for proper credit within the time frame specified.
