Primary Job Function
Provides Speech-Language Pathology evaluations, interventions and patient/family education under the prescription of a physician. Will establish and maintain appropriate documentation and communication with medical and clinical staff and outside agencies within the guidelines designated by state licensure, the department and Delaware Valley policies and procedures. Actively participates in departmental education activities in order to expand knowledge of patient populations and evidence-based practice. 

Pediatric experience is required, feeding experience is preferred.

This is a salaried position with full-time benefits for 40-hours worked per week. Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm.  This position must be able to provide services in all of our programs:  Inpatient, Outpatient and Rehab at all of our Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware locations.  This position also has Weekend Coverage Requirements, which may fluctuate depending on staffing and per diem availability.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or its equivalent from an ASHA accredited university
• Hold ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), or in process of applying for ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Must hold a primary license in DE
• Additional licenses for Pennsylvania and New Jersey must be obtained in order to staff programmatic needs
• Must submit license or proof of application submission with 2 weeks of job acceptance, but these additional licenses are not required to be active at the start of employment.
• All clinical float staff will maintain licensure in Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association within 6 months of date of hire and must be maintained for duration of employment.
• Member of professional specialty organizations (ASHA, State specific Speech & Hearing Association) preferred.
• Pediatric experience is required.
• Experience in feeding and swallowing is preferred.
