The Central Sterile Processing Department at Vanderbilt University Medical Center is adding new CSP and Endo Tech positions to our department and expanding our staff in all areas. We are hiring for Central Sterile Processing Technician, Central Sterile Processing Technician II, and Endoscopy Technician. We also have supervisory and managerial positions available for qualified applicants.
Central Sterile Processing Technician
High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) and 1 year of relevant experience. Must become certified within two years of hire with either CRCST or CBSPD. Preferred:
Central Sterile Processing experience. Healthcare experience with instruments and sterilization processes.
Central Sterile Processing Technician 2 - Certified
High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) and 2 years relevant experience Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration (LCR): Central Sterile Processing (CRCST or CBSPD) Required
High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) and 2 years relevant experience. Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration (LCR): CRCST of CBSPD highly-desirable. If no certification, must obtain within 2 years.

General job description:
Provides a continuous flow of sterile/reusable supplies, equipment, and instrumentations for surgery procedures.
Maintains work environment in a safe, clean, orderly manner.
Receives, cleans and decontaminates supplies and equipment with departmental policies.
Performs, documents and monitors all quality control tools.
Receives and inventories departmental supplies, instrumentation and equipment.
Prepares instrumentation and equipment according to recommended procedures and techniques in preparation for sterilization.
Operates all departmental equipment safely and effectively.
Scans instrumentation and assembles, according to prescribed procedures and techniques.
1st (Endo) 2nd & 3 rd shifts available
