Nemours Children’s Specialty Care, Jacksonville, is currently seeking diagnostic Pediatric Radiologist to join nine Pediatric Radiologists including three Interventional Pediatric Radiologists. Nemours is a pediatric tertiary care subspecialty clinic located in Jacksonville, Florida. The position involves full-time responsibilities as an attending diagnostic Pediatric Radiologist at our freestanding outpatient facility and at Wolfson Children’s Hospital. Wolfson is a 216-bed pediatric hospital where all imaging modalities are utilized. An opportunity for academic appointment to the Mayo Medical School is available.
Nemours Radiology provides full pediatric imaging services (diagnostic and interventional) for the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE, Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, FL, Nemours Children’s Specialty Care in Jacksonville, FL, Nemours Children’s Clinic in Pensacola, FL, as well as staffs pediatric radiology at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL.
Nemours radiology services are integrated within a single PACS with faculty working from common work-lists. In 2017, over 250,000 imaging examinations were performed in the system. Faculty are licensed in both Delaware and Florida and credentialed throughout the system. By creating an integrated Nemours-wide Radiology department, there is now a critical mass of more than 30 pediatric radiologists, making it one of the largest pediatric radiology faculty in the nation. This critical mass has enabled marked improvement in report turn-around times, increased sub-specialization, dramatic increase in academic productivity, and work on system-wide quality improvement and safety initiatives. The Division of Interventional Radiology with 5 full time and 5 part time FTE’s spans three integrated campuses and will soon be among the largest divisions in the country. The Division runs vascular anomaly, musculoskeletal, liver, diagnostic neuro, oncology and trauma services within the enterprise which will encompass over 7000 procedures this year. Most interventional physicians have licenses and credentialing at separate campuses with integration which allows real time cross campus consulting in the suite and North and South region call coverage. The Division also runs clinic and inpatient services and has proudly earned the top Division Press Ganey customer satisfaction scores in the hospital.
The preferred candidate will have strong skills and experience in the interpretation of diagnostic pediatric radiology exams, excellent clinical and interpersonal skills, and the desire to collaborate with clinicians to deliver the best in imaging care.

Inpatient care is delivered at Wolfson Children's Hospital, connected directly to our clinic with a walkway connector. The 216 bed facility includes a new patient tower, a 20 bed PICU, a 12 bed CVICU and 48 Level 2 and 3 NICU beds, with 24 hour critical care coverage. All pediatric surgery specialties are represented including in-house pediatric hospitalist coverage and 18 pediatric anesthesiologists.
