The Market Research Program Manager (Insights & Analytics) is responsible for designing and delivering critical market research studies, managing and leading these engagements, and translating outputs into actionable insights. The selected candidate will combine primary market research data, financial and behavioral data with other secondary data to surface new insights into our current and prospective customers to support our enterprise business goals and growth agenda. Additionally, using advanced analytics methods, predictive analytics, and new methods to cultivate insights, you will act as a strategic thought partner to provide critical customer insights for cross-functional team efforts. In addition, this individual will lead marketing performance management, including building dashboards that bring together campaign results, key brand metrics, digital metrics, and other volume and business metrics to help track and evaluate marketing performance.
Key responsibilities include:
Working with key stakeholders to develop and execute qualitative and quantitative market research plans
Managing market research studies, including project objectives, design, budget, vendor selection and management, data analysis and interpretation
Managing external research vendors and demonstrating statistical and analytical techniques to derive insights
Combining survey-based data with behavioral and transactional analytics to enrich insights
Developing compelling presentations for key stakeholders, including service line leaders, senior management and Board dashboards
Communicating in a way that is easily understood and visually compelling, persuading partners to turn insight into action and actively working to influence the adoption of the recommendations
Identifying and framing key business issues needing further research and aligning relevant team members on the objectives, research approaches and recommendations
Accountability for conducting market research activities in a compliant manner
Applying basic consulting skills, including consultative listening, problem definition, hypothesis generation, data analysis, translation to value, and oral and written presentation for impact
Keeping abreast of key market events and works to understand potential impact
Cultivating meaningful internal and external partnerships, adding value and insights for the organization; being insight-driven to uncover important unmet needs
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Business or related. Must have 7 years of experience designing and conducting quantitative and qualitative market research, and secondary market research (experience with crafting surveys, analyzing data and developing insightful reports), and familiarity with new methods like AI. Additional requirements include:
Hands-on experience with tools used in analysis of market research data (e.g. SPSS, Q, etc.), forecasting, secondary data analysis
Strong analytical skills and good intuition with numbers, connecting the dots, synthesizing disparate information sources and sometimes contradictory learning
Strong strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations
Demonstrated attention to detail and excellence in project management, including effectively managing multiple projects/priorities
Excellent, persuasive and tactful communications skills, both written and verbal, and interdependent partnering skills
Willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and evolving environment
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Multidisciplinary background in insights across the complex spectrum of hybrid qualitative and quantitative research
