Certified Nurse Assistants are an essential part of an interdisciplinary nursing unit which work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse and provide supportive age appropriate care to patients with a variety of diagnoses.Responsibilities include taking, recording and reporting vital signs and other clinical measurements such as pulse oximetry, height/weight, nutritional and fluid intake/output. Consistently performing patient care skills needed to assure patient comfort and safety, and participating in care of the patient environment and equipment. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of CHRISTUS Health St. Patrick Hospital, and demonstrating behavior consistent with the Core Values.

Requirements:

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the State of Louisiana required
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support required
• No experience required
• Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and medical staff both verbally and written form
