Faculty Posting Details Appointment: On-going Assistant Professor of Public Health, to begin in Fall 2021 or Spring 2022
Responsibilities: The University of Puget Sound seeks applications for an on-going Assistant Professor of Public Health to begin in Fall 2021 or Spring 2022. The successful candidate will develop and teach courses in a new Master of Public Health program. Standard teaching load is 6 units per academic year (three courses per semester). Candidates are also expected to engage in advising, research and professional development in faculty member's area of expertise, and participate in serving Puget Sound's institutional mission.
We are interested in candidates with expertise in either a combination of or one of the following areas: (1) public health, health policy and/or systems, or (2) health promotion and/or behavior. Applicants should have documented ability to develop and teach courses in some combination of the following: health systems, health policy, public health leadership, public health ethics, program development and evaluation, health campaigns, health behavior, qualitative research methods, and general public health or special topics areas of interest. Depending on interest and expertise, the faculty member may serve as the practicum director as part of their teaching workload.
Qualifications: Doctorate or PhD (ABD considered) in a public health, health systems, health policy, or closely related field.
