This is an open continuous announcement; applicants will be reviewed and referred on a bi-weekly basis; the announcement will remain open until the position is filled. Work Schedule: Various Tours; subject to change to meet the needs of the agency Financial Disclosure Report: Not required The Blind Rehabilitation(1B) and Inpatient General Rehabilitation (3D) Registered Nurse is professional at all times in their practice, assumes Charge Nurse duties and responsibilities, complete admission assessments, discharge summaries, develops plans of care, participates in process improvements initiatives, provides safe patient care and other duties as assigned within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities for the Registered Nurse on the Medical and Blind Rehabilitation units are: - Provide direct patient care; medication administration. -Initiate basic emergency measures in response to life-threatening situation. -Documentation of care provided in patient's computerized medical record. -Participation in the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team. -Contribute information for the review and revision of nursing care plans based on observation of patient's response to treatment programs. - Function within a safe manner including infection control and operation of equipment (i.e. Vital sign, CBG, EKG). -Maintain confidentiality of electronic, written, and /or verbal patient/employee information. -Demonstrate working practices that include adherence to Medical Center policies, Nursing policies and procedures, Infection Control standards, Patient Safety standards, and accreditation standards (i.e. Joint Commission and CARF). -Collaborate with peers and interdisciplinary group to evaluate various outcomes for patient and family centered care.
