We are conveniently located on the West Bank of the Mississippi River near downtown Minneapolis.

The PACU RN is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned Perianesthesia (pre- and post-op) patients. The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedure, and professional practice guidelines. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.

This position will be working 64 hours every two weeks on the rotating day/evening shift, 8 hour shifts, rotating weekends. The position does require the ability to work off-premise call shifts as assigned (staff rotation of weeknights and weekends). The position is eligible for benefits including loan repayment.

• Provides exceptional care to pediatric and adult patients from culturally diverse populations prior to and immediately after surgical procedures.
• Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.

MN RN License. BSN preferred.

A minimum of two years current RN experience in Adult and/or Pediatric Critical Care is required. Hospital-based PACU experience preferred. NICU-only experience is not applicable to minimum criteria.

Position does require the ability to work off-premise call shifts as assigned (staff rotation of weeknights and weekends) and meet unit requirement for call response time.

BLS, ACLS and PALS certification required at time of hire or within six months of employment

Certification in a related specialty is highly desired.
