The Social Work Supervisor (Assistant Program Manager) for Eglin and Panama City Beach will assist in overseeing a multispecialty behavioral health clinic of over 40 FTE's, consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurse practitioners, nurses and other multidisciplinary team members who are part of our level IC organization. The Supervisory Social Worker will exercise oversight of clinic services including general mental health, PCMHI, neuropsychology, pain management, tele-mental health, PTSD, MST and Substance use. The incumbent will oversee 40+ direct reports including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, nurses, psychologists, neuropsychologists, clinical social workers, addiction therapists and peer support specialists. The Social Work Supervisor is responsible for the following: - Assigns, directs, and reviews the work of subordinates in Behavioral Health Service - Serves as leader for a multi-disciplinary team. - Observes workers' performance; demonstrates and conducts work performance critiques. - Provides informal feedback and periodically evaluates employee performance, working to resolve informal complaints and grievances. - Develops work improvement plans, recommending personnel actions as necessary. - Provides advice and counsel to workers related to work and administrative matters. - Invokes disciplinary measures as appropriate to the authority delegated in the Social Work Programs. - Reviews and approves or disapproves leave requests and premium pay actions. - Assures that subordinates are trained and fully comply with provisions of safety regulations. - Responsible for furthering the goals of equal employment opportunity (EEO) by taking positive steps to assure the accomplishment of affirmative action objectives and by adhering to nondiscriminatory employment practices in regard to race, color, religion, sex, and affirmative action for the area under incumbent supervision in the following: (1) merit promotion of employees and recruitment and hiring of applicants; (2) fair treatment of all employees; (3) encouragement and recognition of employee achievements; (4) career development of employees; and (5) full utilization of their skills. - Exercises supervisor authorities and responsibilities involving work assignment and review, as well as the administrative and personnel management functions relative to the staff supervised. - Performs a wide range of services and provides technical assistance to State, local, and private agencies, universities, monitoring activities and program reviews, and the development and analysis of information. - Uses sound judgment in the interpretation of trends and patterns; the application of guidelines; and the recommendation of program enhancements. - Performs program analysis, development, review, research, design, and contact work as applicable with various agencies (public, DOD, state), etc. Performs work related to the review, monitoring, analysis, planning and assessment of various programs. Responsible for key project activities related to the planning, development, and implementation of the project components within social work. - Performs other related duties as assigned. - Responsible compliance of all performance measures assigned.
