The Pain Psychologist operates as part of the interdisciplinary Pain Management Team and provides consultation, assessment, and treatment to assist with the management of chronic pain. The PMT is organizationally located in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service (PMRS). The functions of the full performance level GS-13 Pain Psychologist includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Provides a full range of diagnostic and evaluation services appropriate to chronic pain treatment, with appropriate suicide risk assessment and response. 2.
