Description Speech Pathologist II JOB SUMMARY : In your pivotal, rewarding role as Speech Pathologist II, you will be the lead clinician on an NIH-funded research study: "Neural correlates of recovery from aphasia after stroke". This is a longitudinal study of stroke survivors, using speech-language evaluations and MRI to better characterize how the brain reorganizes after stroke to support recovery of language function. You will recruit acute stroke patients at the bedside, evaluate their speech and language function at multiple time points, build rapport with patients and their caregivers to promote their continued participation in the study, and coordinate and carry out research activities.
