Staff Psychologist (Suicide Prevention/ BHIP High Risk Therapist)
The incumbent functions as a clinical Psychologist in Mental Health Outpatient Clinic located in Behavioral Health Service. In addition to providing direct patient care, this Psychologist may provide training and guidance to pre-doctoral Psychology interns and practicum students and limited administrative/managerial duties, as described below. The Psychologist may also assist the Suicide Prevention Coordinator's efforts to educate providers, veterans, families and members of the community. Duties include but not limited to: The psychologist applies professional psychological diagnostic methods and evidence-based intervention strategies to a full range of patient problems in his/her work setting.
