This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan reimbursement program. The Staff psychologist is a full-time position assigned to the PTSD Clinical Team (PCT), within Mental Health and Behavioral Sciences at the VA NJ Healthcare System. PCT staff are located at the East Orange Campus, the Lyons Campus, and the Brick CBOC. This position is based out of the East Orange Campus, but could necessitate some hours at the Lyons Campus if needed for patient care. The Psychologist provides PTSD specialty care via individual and group psychotherapy, including Evidence-Based Therapies, for veterans with PTSD and veterans with a history of MST, where these concerns are the focus of treatment. The psychologist also provides skills training and psychoeducation to facilitate the ability to engage successfully in trauma-focused/informed work. The Psychologist provides screening/assessment to determine a diagnosis, identify problem areas and veteran goals for treatment, in order to determine appropriateness for treatment within the PCT. At the full performance GS-13 level, the psychologist must be licensed as a psychologist in a state. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Some evening hours may be required.
