The Psychological Rehabilitation & Recovery Program (PRRC) Registered Nurse works in coordination with the PRRC/ICMHR Program Coordinator and PRRC Team Lead to complete processing consults and assist in program development for the Psychological Rehabilitation & Recovery program. The incumbent possess the knowledge of the recovery model and implementation within the PRRC program. The Psychological Rehabilitation & Recovery Program (PRRC) RN will perform psychosocial assessments, develop treatment plans (recovery plans) based on diagnoses, and provide individual, family and group psychotherapy. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide advanced level recovery advisor services, coordination of care, referrals, advocacy, psychoeducation, transition, and discharge planning for Veterans admitted to the PRRC programs. The incumbent will share responsibility for coverage of in office duties. This position requires familiarity with a variety of treatments for mental health and substance abuse disorders. The incumbent will manage all aspects of their assigned caseload and assist other team members, as needed. The incumbent will participate in scheduled interdisciplinary team meetings, monthly/quarterly Mental Health Service meetings, Commision on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) meetings and National Psychological Rehabilitation and Recovery Program conference (PRRC) calls as assigned. The Psychological Rehabilitation and Recovery Program (PRRC) RN will provide individual or group services via phone, face to face, VVC, or via hybrid modalities as appropriate. The RN will have experience/knowledge of group facilitation as well as the ability to act as a recovery advisor in the PRRC program. Preferred characteristics: Bachelor's or Master's degree. At least 2 years' experience in clinical setting and at least 1 year of specialized psychiatric nursing practice experience.
