This vacancy is for the Nursing Assistant position on our 7B Med/Surg unit The Nursing Assistant assists the Registered Nurse and Interdisciplinary Care Team in the performance of diagnostic examinations by performing duties such as vital signs, height, weight, ambulation etc. The NA will report and document specific information in the patient's computerized record. The NA will also respond and assist in detecting fall alarms, patient concerns and completes walking rounds. The NA performs a wide variety of duties aimed at increasing the comfort and care of the patient. The NA performs patient care and comfort measures addressing the patient's, biopsychosocial needs, personal hygiene, physical comfort, nutrition, hydration, skin care, rehabilitation, and safety. The NA will assist patients with self-care and promoting independence. All of which will be reported to the Registered Nurse. The NA performs other related duties as assigned.
