Us.

Our Cath lab has 4 state-of -the-art procedure rooms for performing numerous heart and vessel imaging studies and treatments. Our diagnostic and interventional Cath Lab houses 4 rooms: 2 Philips Allura, 2019 Philips Azurion Biplane, and 2015 upgraded GE biplane. We perform Cardiac Catheterizations, Pacemaker insertions and revisions, Electrophysiology Studies and Ablations, Peripheral procedures, Neuro angiograms and interventions. Approximately 1600 procedures are performed each year. We use MacLab reporting, Volcano, (IVUS and FFR), and ACIST power injectors.  Plus, weâ™ve implemented a weekend call team to lessen the call requirements for the remainder of the team!

We are proud to be a Heart and Neurovascular Center, an accredited Chest Pain Center, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and a Level II Trauma Center.

Your day.

As an Invasive CV Tech / Cath Lab Tech you need to know how to:

• Provide technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures. Provide patient care under the supervision of the RN.


• Assist physicians in radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures, act as scrub assistant, maintaining sterile conditions during clinical procedures. Operate imaging equipment and work in the control room monitoring and documenting procedure images and events.


• Educate patients and families regarding the procedure and about the expectations of the procedure. Teach patient and family about pre and post procedure physical conditions.


• Assist in maintaining order and cleanliness of the unit. Maintain appropriate stock levels for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures.


• Complete daily, progress and discharge documentation according to departmental standards. Accurately document productivity information.


• Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives. Identify potential areas for improvement including processes that could be streamlined or revised to improve patient satisfaction. Identify potential safety hazards that may create problems for patients and/or staff, and take appropriate actions.

Your experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.


• Current Registered ARRT or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist RCIS within 18 months of hire or Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV specific certification or RCIS or RCES or Exercise Physiologist.


• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.


• Current ACLS certification.


• Current Surgery Tech license in the state of Colorado.

Preferred:

• Associateâ™s Degree.


• At least two (2) years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab.
