The Licensed Practical Nurse performs a wide range of resident care and supportive duties in the Community Living Center (CLC). They exhibit independent technical judgment, critical thinking skills, and the use of independent judgment to carry out their assigned duties, including ability to prioritize and coordinate the care of medically complex veteran population with minimal supervision. Such individuals serve as leaders or co-leaders of a nursing unit for a specific group of residents. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
