The Psychiatric Social Worker is a member of an interdisciplinary team who provides direct assessment, diagnosis formulation, treatment planning, treatment intervention and psychoeducation to members and/or family members. Majority of role entails direct patient care. Familiar with all aspects of psychopathology and recognize the appropriate and timely clinical treatment intervention needed. May work with specific age group as is determined by training and certificate. Assists the department leadership on various department functions including, but not limited to department performance improvement plan, development of care management programs and process, development of education plan and training of staff and performs clinical record audits. Works closely and in collaboration with Psychiatrist in developing programs related to mental health. Participates in departmental functions such as staff meetings, staff in-services, and committees as assigned.

Familiar with and have expertise in a variety of treatment modalities.
Required:
Active California license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners
Master’s Degree from an Accredited School of Social Work.
2 or more years of experience as a LCSW in healthcare
Received certificate of completion in Columbia Suicide Severity Rate Scale (C-SSRS)
Must obtain LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment (PHGSH Only)
Preferred:
2 or more years of experience working with mental health patients
