Medical Instrument Technician (Electroencephalograph) (EEG)
Provides diagnostic examinations or medical treatment procedures in the Neurology Clinic/Lab and also intraoperative monitoring. Performs procedures and operates electroencephalograph and other equipment such as evoked potential to record the electrical activity of the brain. Reviews pre-procedure laboratory tests results and determines if test meet requirements. Works closely with the Neurologists, trainees, and other support personnel in the Neurology Service. The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: The Technologist independently reviews each requisition to assure that the patient history is consistent with the exam requested. The Technologist will accurately identify the patient and compare that information with the procedure request per JC
